His Creation

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. Psalm 139:14-16 (The Message)

Because we are God’s children, and because He created us and shaped us inside and out, we can unmistakably know that we are wonderful. The world sends messages daily that we are not good enough the way we are. We are constantly bombarded with commercials of the “perfect” sized woman with “perfect” hair and “perfect” skin. We see women that have long, shiny, beautiful hair and they look great in a pair of jeans. Their skin is clear with no blemishes, scars, or imperfections and their teeth are perfectly straight and gleaming white. But these women are imposters. They use the latest products and are airbrushed by a computer to enhance their looks.

There is nothing wrong with being beautiful or using certain products to enhance your God-given beauty, but we must remember that God created us and we are fearfully and reverently made. Not only are we reverently made, but the scripture also says that we are wonderfully made. To be wonderfully made means that we are miraculously, marvelously, superbly, and terrifically made.

We are children of God and He alone has what we need. We are special to Him and He desires to have us focus on Him instead of the things that the world wants us to focus on. When we focus on God and His blessings, no matter how large or small we open the door of opportunity for God to make a change in our lives, to do a miracle, and start a new thing in us. We must never forget that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Let us not be guilty of seeing ourselves the way world see’s us, but rather look in the mirror and see what Jesus see’s. He only sees the new you that 1 Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified) speaks of. “Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!”
