30 Days Of…Day 22 – “Change”

Have you ever heard someone say “the only thing constant is change”? Change is taking place all the time be it in us, through us, or around us, it never stops. I haven’t always embraced change, but as I move into a new season of maturity, change seems to be the catalyst that keeps me going. Change has pushed me to move outside of my comfort zone. When I started changing, I decided to take a kick boxing class, to jog/walk in a 5K, an 8K, and a 10K. Change propelled me into going to a Christian writer’s conference by myself (driving to San Diego, California). Change gave me an idea to write a book (it’s not published yet, but I wrote it). Change makes me see opportunities I would never have seen before. Change is what pushes me to press towards the mark of the high calling that God has for me. I don’t always know what that mark is, but as long as my faith remains strong in God I can keep pressing so I can move up higher on the ladder of change.

When you are through changing, you are through. ~Bruce Barton

You can avoid having ulcers by adapting to the situation: If you fall in the mud puddle, check your pockets for fish. ~Author Unknown

Things do not change; we change. ~Henry David Thoreau

Our only security is our ability to change. ~John Lilly

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” Romans 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
